Laboratory projects involve multiple decisions that must align before furniture reaches the site. Room dimensions, utility positions, equipment requirements, chemical compatibility, documentation, and construction schedules all influence the final result.
When these details are addressed too late, projects can face layout revisions, installation conflicts, unexpected costs, and delivery delays.
ZH LABS works with laboratory owners, contractors, distributors, and project procurement teams to coordinate the laboratory furniture scope from planning through delivery. Our support can include layout drawings, product selection, technical coordination, manufacturing, quality control, shipping documentation, and installation guidance.
The goal is straightforward: help you make key decisions earlier, clarify project responsibilities, and reduce avoidable problems during execution.

A laboratory project may involve furniture, fume hoods, ventilation systems, electrical services, plumbing, and laboratory equipment. When interfaces are not clearly defined, conflicts can arise between different suppliers and contractors.
What matters:
Clear scope definition, coordinated furniture drawings, and early identification of interfaces between the furniture package and other project systems.
Ordering furniture after construction is complete can leave little room to resolve dimensional conflicts. Furniture may interfere with doors, utilities, equipment clearances, or maintenance access.
What matters:
Reviewing room dimensions, utility locations, equipment requirements, and access clearances before production drawings are approved.
Tender submissions, procurement reviews, quality inspections, and project handovers may require specific technical documents. Missing or inconsistent records can delay approvals and acceptance.
What matters:
Identifying document requirements early and confirming which drawings, material records, test reports, certificates, and manuals are available or required for the project.
International projects often rely on email, shared drawings, photographs, and online meetings. Without a clear revision and approval process, teams may work from outdated information or misunderstand design changes.
What matters:
A structured workflow for drawing submissions, revision tracking, approval records, and communication between the client and project team.
ZH LABS follows a structured workflow to help clients coordinate laboratory furniture requirements from the initial inquiry to project handover. The exact scope depends on project complexity, product selection, and agreed responsibilities.
We begin by understanding your laboratory, project scope, and delivery requirements.
Information may include:
You can provide existing drawings, measurements, and site photographs for an initial review. A site survey may be recommended when the available information is insufficient or site conditions require verification.
Based on the project requirements, we develop a proposed laboratory furniture layout and identify suitable products.
Depending on the agreed scope, deliverables may include:
The drawings are reviewed with your team and revised as needed. Production proceeds after the required drawings and specifications receive approval.
Before manufacturing, we review the technical requirements and identify the documents needed for procurement, inspection, and handover.
Depending on the project and product scope, documentation may include:
Required documents, availability, and delivery formats should be confirmed during project planning. Any market-specific compliance requirements must be reviewed against the actual products and applicable standards.
Once the approved specifications are finalized, manufacturing begins according to the agreed production plan.
ZH LABS coordinates the manufacturing and quality-control activities within the confirmed furniture scope. Inspection arrangements, progress updates, and any required customer approvals are agreed in advance.
Changes to approved drawings or specifications may affect production schedules and should be reviewed before implementation.
Before shipment, furniture is prepared for packing and dispatch according to the agreed shipping arrangements.
The project handover package may include the applicable packing list, product documentation, available test reports or certificates, and installation instructions.
Shipping schedules depend on production readiness, packing requirements, transportation arrangements, and destination-specific procedures. The applicable delivery terms and responsibilities should be confirmed in the quotation or project agreement.
After delivery, ZH LABS can provide installation instructions and remote technical guidance for the supplied furniture.
Where installation is handled by the client’s contractor, we can coordinate furniture-related information and clarify installation requirements within our agreed scope. On-site installation or third-party installation services can be discussed separately where available.
Before project closeout, the parties should confirm the agreed deliverables, outstanding items, and any documentation required for handover.
ZH LABS can discuss furniture planning and supply requirements for different laboratory environments.
Furniture layouts for teaching laboratories, research rooms, preparation areas, and shared equipment spaces, with attention to workflow, storage, durability, and equipment access.
Furniture selection and layout coordination for projects with defined hygiene, cleaning, material, and documentation requirements. Cleanroom classifications and regulatory obligations must be assessed separately from the furniture specification.
Workstations, storage, and worktop options selected according to the materials handled, testing procedures, equipment loads, and daily workflow.
Laboratory furniture tailored to chemical handling, sample preparation, fume hood integration, and chemical storage, with worktop materials selected according to chemical compatibility.
