Choose construction types and worktop materials based on the laboratory’s use, chemical exposure, equipment, and load requirements.
We manufacture three structural types of laboratory workbenches: steel, metal-wood, and PP.
Steel Lab Workbenches: Cold-rolled steel cabinets with electrostatic epoxy powder coating. Available as single-sided wall benches or double-sided island benches. Suitable for chemistry, industrial R&D, and applications requiring high load capacity and chemical resistance.
Metal-wood Workbenches: Steel frame with wood cabinet construction; a cost-effective option for teaching labs and general-purpose use with moderate load requirements.
PP workbenches:Polypropylene construction, typically floor-standing PP cabinets with PP worktops. Offers strong resistance to many strong acids and alkalis, but is not suitable for aromatic or chlorinated solvents, high-temperature operations, or strong oxidizing media, and may age or deform over time.
Worktop options across all workbench types include phenolic resin, epoxy resin, ceramic, PP, and granite. Explore our laboratory countertop Optionen.
We manufacture steel, PP, and stainless steel fume hoods.
Steel fume hoods use a compact phenolic resin liner. The worktop inside the hood follows the same worktop options as our workbenches: phenolic resin, epoxy resin, ceramic, PP, or granite. Steel fume hoods are suitable for general acid handling and routine chemistry applications.
PP fume hoods are constructed entirely from polypropylene. They are intended for concentrated acids and strong alkalis. Explore our acid resistant fume hood
Stainless steel fume hoods are available in 304 or 316L stainless steel. They are used in cleanroom, biological, and pharmaceutical applications where easy-clean surfaces and corrosion resistance are required.
Choose storage according to reagent category and intended use.
Flammable-liquid cabinets: Steel construction designed for flammable solvents.
Korrodierende Schränke: Designed for corrosive reagents, with full-PP construction specified for high-density acids.
Glassware cabinets: Steel body, stainless steel perforated shelves, and a PP drip tray at the bottom.
Schränke aus rostfreiem Stahl: For cleanroom and pharmaceutical applications requiring easy-clean surfaces and corrosion resistance.
Important storage note: Strong-acid reagents and flammable solvents must be stored in separate cabinets and must not be placed inside the same cabinet.
| Reagent Category | Cabinet Type | Key Requirements |
| Flammable solvents | Flammable‑liquid storage cabinet | Complies with EN 14470‑1; fire‑insulated construction, self‑closing doors |
| High density acid | Corrosive cabinet | Full‑PP construction; stainless‑steel cabinets shall NOT be used |
| Glassware & lab utensils | Glassware cabinet | Ventilation, adequate load‑bearing capacity |
| General | Typischer Schrank | Standard anti‑corrosion powder‑coated finish |
These shared specifications and references may also be relevant to individual laboratory solution pages. Final selection should be confirmed for each project.
